    proquest, proquest logo ProQuest Criminal Justice This is a comprehensive database supporting research on crime, its causes and impacts, legal and social implications, as well as litigation and crime trends. A mix of full-text journals, references, abstracts, reports and conference proceedings. This database allows you to filter your results by location: you will be able to find UK specific results.     Access to publications and news about crime. The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies is independent and non-partisan.

    Center for the Protection of National Infrastructure

    A range of advice for managing assets, security planning, information about national security threats, and security awareness campaigns within the UK.

    Cardiff Index of Legal Abbreviations

    Look up abbreviations for sources (as used in legal referencing eg. case law)

    College of Policing APP

    Authorised professional practice page of the College of Policing. Information on many different specialist areas including armed policing, counter terrorism and investigation.

    Crown Prosecution Service

    The Crown Prosecution Service is the Government Department responsible for prosecuting criminal cases investigated by the police in England and Wales. Useful site with up to date information, news and guidance on legal documents.

    Full Fact

    Full Fact are an independent fact checking charity. They aim to check claims made by politicians, the media and pressure groups, and stop misinformation spreading by pressing for corrections.

    GCHQ

    Government Communications Headquarters. Mission areas include counter terrorism, cyber security, strategic advantage, serious and organised crime, and support to defence.

    The Home Office

    Includes links to policy information, statistics, firearms, Government publications and regulations.

    Official report of all parliamentary debates

    International Centre for the Prevention of Crime

    The International Centre for the Prevention of Crime supports multi-sector approaches to respond to issues around crime and insecurity. With the ultimate aim of developing policies to reduce crime which can be implemented at a local level.

    The Ministry of Justice

    A ministerial department supported by agencies and public bodies working to create a responsive criminal justice system.

    National Cyber Security Centre

    Advice and guidance on a range of cyber security issues from the Government. Useful news section towards the bottom of the homepage. Plus a range of reports and advisories on the keep up to date section.

    National Protective Security Agency

    The UK Government’s National Technical Authority for Physical and Personnel Protective Security.

    Office for National Statistics (ONS)

    An independent producer of official statistics for the UK. Look under the People, Populations and Community tab for information on crime and justice.  

    Police.UK

    The local area crime and policing site - providing helpful links to local crime statistics, neighbourhood watch, Crimestoppers, and UK police force area websites.

    ProtectUK

    ProtectUK provides business and the public with counter terrorism support and guidance to effectively protect and prepare
