Whether you are moving up through the years of your programme, or moving to University of Cumbria from a previous course at another institution, you are likely making the transition to the next level of study and a new set of expectations.
As you progress through each level of study, you can expect a shift not only in terms of the subject content, but also the academic skills you will need to demonstrate your knowledge and development.

For any student, moving from one level of a course presents changes but if you have found your current level of study challenging, the next stage can feel daunting. Don’t worry, this experience is not uncommon, and this page gathers together resources to help with this transition.

Skills@Cumbria work with students across all levels and courses, and we have compiled the common issues and challenges we hear about during our workshops and appointments.
