Postal loans
Fees and registration
If you would like to have books posted out to you we have a postal loan scheme. It costs £15 for the academic year until July.
Payment is made through the online store, which will then register your library account for Postal Loans. Please allow one working day for your library account to update. If you pay on a Friday, over the weekend or on a bank holiday your account will be updated on the afternoon of the next full working day.
Once you have registered you will see 'home delivery' as an option when you are placing a book request through OneSearch. If you are ordering several books they are likely to be sent out in more than one parcel so don't panic if they don't all arrive at once.
Sending books to you
Your books will be sent to the home address that you have registered at the university. Please ensure that your home address is correct in your student record. To check and/or amend your home address please go to the My Student Details tile in The Student Hub or login directly to ICON: My student record.
Returning books to us
You can return the books to any campus library when you are on campus, or you can post them back to us at:
Harold Bridges Library
University of Cumbria
Bowerham Road

We do not pay the cost of return postage.
Please contact the library service with any questions library@cumbria.ac.uk.
