  • Regulations

The university's academic regulations are designed to ensure the university is able to fulfil its responsibilities under the 'Articles of Government' in exercising its degree awarding powers. The university keeps its academic regulations under review to ensure that they continue to be fit for purpose, reflect good practice in the sector and comply with legislation and other relevant external guidelines.   • Placement

    The University of Cumbria recognises placement learning as being a core component of its programmes whilst being a fundamental element that prepares students for their future career. Programmes have been specifically designed to meet professional body requirements (where appropriate) in conjunction with our placement partners across the North of England and beyond.     Placements are undertaken in carefully selected and quality assured settings, supported by committed University Partnership Tutors, Link Tutors and Practice Assessors and Supervisors. This support structure enables student development throughout their programme to achieve the expected requirements, learning outcomes and assessment processes.

    We take particular pride in the partnership arrangements that we have with Schools, NHS Trusts, Private, Independent and Voluntary Sector placement providers, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Lake District National Park to support all of our students whilst out on placement.
