Barrow-in-Furness has a Student Enquiry Point, a modern learning space based in the Learning Resources room on the ground floor and additional study space upstairs on the first floor. We have a digital first approach to providing library resources at Barrow-in-Furness and you have access to approx. 700,000 ebooks and millions of high quality journal articles via OneSearch. We also subscribe to a wide range of specialist databases that contain trusted and up-to-date information for your study and research.

We like to think of all our campus libraries as coming together as one big single library. If your home campus is Buccleuch Dock Road, Barrow, you can request print books from any of our other campus libraries to be sent to your campus.

Our digital library is by far our largest collection and we recommend that you make the most of all our electronic books, journals and databases. Our library subject pages are a great place to start. Our skills@cumbria team of subject librarians are on hand to help you and you can also make use of the 24/7 Ask a Librarian chat service that comes through to a real person.

We want our learning spaces to feel inclusive, welcoming and considerate of all members of our university community. To this end, we ask our users to check out this page of ways you can help us achieve this: Library Etiquette.
