I'm in Crisis right now

If there is a threat to life - call 999 for emergency help IMMEDIATELY.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger of hurting themselves or others, or appear to have lost all sense of reality:

Go directly to the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department at your local hospital. They will have a mental health liaison team who will be able to assess your situation and provide appropriate support.

Call 999 to request an ambulance if you are unable to reach the hospital yourself. Paramedics not only deal with physical health emergencies, but also mental health emergencies too.

If you are feeling distressed and need urgent support:

Contact your GP surgery to request an emergency appointment.

Alternatively, call the free NHS medical line on 111 and select the mental health option. You can also get help via NHS 111 online

Residents of Lancaster, Morecambe and South Cumbria can call the 24 hour helpline 0800 013 0710

Residents of North Cumbria can call the 24 hour helpline 0800 652 2865
