  • Your Student Account

Twelve months after you complete your course, your University of Cumbria student account will be disabled. After this point, you will no longer have access to your student email or any systems linked to your university login, including the Student Hub, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Blackboard, PebblePad, and LinkedIn Learning. Once your account has been disabled, it cannot be recovered.

We recommend you ACT NOW to make sure you retain anything you may need. Full guidance and answers to common questions are available on the student leaver account access webpage, and the key steps include:

    • Diverting your university email to a personal account and saving or forwarding any important emails
    • Downloading and saving your course materials, including notes, essays, module documents, and other files from your student account (please note that we do not retain copies of student work)
    • Updating any accounts linked to your university email (such as job applications, subscriptions, or recovery emails) to ensure you do not lose access
    • Keeping your own copies of all assessed work and key submissions, including projects, posters, dissertations, final pieces, and marked essays

For any other queries regarding student IT accounts, please email: itservicedesk@cumbria.ac.uk

  • Create an Alumni account on PebblePad

Before you leave the University, don’t forget to register for a free Alumni PebblePad account. This allows you to keep access to PebblePad and take your existing work with you after graduation.

By setting up your Alumni account, you can retain your PebblePad portfolio, continue to use it, and add to it over time at no cost.

  • The Graduate Outcomes Survey

We’d like to remind you that around 15 months after you complete your course, you may be invited to take part in the Graduate Outcomes survey. This is a national survey for all graduates in the UK, asking about your activities after graduation, such as work, further study, or other plans.

Your response is important as it helps the University improve support for future students and understand graduate career journeys. If you are contacted, we encourage you to complete the survey when you can.

  • Connect with the Careers Team

You can continue to access careers support after graduation. The Careers Team can help with job searching, applications, further study, and career planning as you move into your next stage. Visit our Connect with Careers webpage for more information.
