We are really excited to welcome you to the University of Cumbria accommodation. This page will talk you through what to expect during arrival. When you arrive, it’s really important that you watch our online arrival video, this will be in our compulsory welcome talk. It covers everything from fire safety (the very important stuff) to all the things you didn’t realise you needed to know but will be very glad you watched. 

Please ensure to read our Pre Arrival information prior to your check in date - this includes important infomation such as: time slots for your arrival, how to access internet, laundry and content insurance!

    INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ARRIVAL : Saturday 12th September 

    UNDERGRADUATE ARRIVAL : Sunday 13th September 

    PCSM ARRIVAL: Sunday 6th September 

    AMBLESIDE: Fairfield Lounge

    If you are collecting your keys out of hours, please make your campus accommodation team aware.

    These will then be kept with our security team for you to collect once you arrive.

  • Just arrived? Complete your room inventory

    Once you have moved into your room, it is important that you log into the accommodation portal and complete your room inventory. This allows you to record any existing damage and helps ensure you are not charged for it at the end of your contract.

  • Welcome Talk

    Once you arrive, there will be a compulsory welcome talk to ensure you have all the information you need while living in halls of residence. The dates and times of these talks can be found in your kitchen and will also be provided during key collection.

  • Getting Set Up in Halls - laundry, internet, contents insurance

    Now that you’ve settled into your new room, you’ll probably have a few questions about day-to-day living in halls. From how to use the laundry facilities and connect to the internet, to understanding your contents insurance and other useful information.
