Free software
FREE software and apps are available for students and staff at the University of Cumbria to use on their own computers/devices. Unless stated otherwise, any issues with downloading or installing these products should be directed to the IT Service Desk.
Please note: Offers of free software may be withdrawn by the manufacturer and your licence to use the software will usually expire when you leave the University of Cumbria.
Assistive technology
The University provides assistive technology to help enable anyone who may need assistance to gain more equal access to their learning. This includes: assistive software on all of the student PCs in the libraries and computer rooms, Apple Accessibility software and over 30 assistive technology workstations across the campuses as well as specialised devices for loan.
