Groups and workshops are a great way to connect with others, build confidence, and support your wellbeing whilst at university. At the University of Cumbria, we offer a range of student-focused groups designed to help you manage challenges, develop practical wellbeing skills, and feel part of a supportive community. Whether you want to meet others, explore coping strategies, or take time to focus on your mental health, there is support available to help you feel more settled and confident.

Understanding and Managing Grief Support Group

Are you struggling with the loss of a loved one and feel that you would benefit from some support? Our 4-week bereavement support group aims to provide you with the space to understand the impacts of loss and find ways to live alongside it. Kate (a Mental Health Case Worker on the Student Mental Health & Wellbeing Team) and Caroline (our University Chaplain) are looking forward to welcoming you to this space at The Chapel, Fusehill Street Campus, Carlisle.

As space is limited and to provide you with the best possible support, we ask that attendees ensure that they are able to commit to all 4 sessions.

The group has concluded for academic year 25/26.
