Does Dawsonera support visually impaired students?

Yes, the standard functions of Adobe Reader that allow for a page to be enlarged or to be read aloud are available. Screen readers such as JAWS, Text Help and Read & Write Gold are supported.

For low-vision and blind users using JAWS screen reader software, accessing ebooks and Audiobooks on EBSCOhost requires JAWS version 12 in combination with Firefox web browser, to support ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) standards.

Ebooks and Audiobooks on EBSCOhost follow ARIA best practices and recommendations of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative to make content accessible to all users. ARIA standards especially help with dynamic content and advanced user interface controls developed with AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and related technologies. Please note that not all browsers support ARIA standards.
