ns_step, The Student Enquiry form is the first step for all Student Services enquiries. By completing a simple form staff (and externals) can refer a student as a cause for concern.

 

What happens after I have submitted a query or Cause for Concern?

You will receive an automated email to let you know that your request has been submitted. Following this, you will hear back from the Student Services team(s) involved as the case progresses. 

You may be asked for further action on your part. For example, academic members of staff may be asked for further information or to consider implementing a procedure such as a progress review, Fitness to Practice assessment or Occupational Health Referral.

What is the timeline for dealing with enquiries? How soon will I receive an answer to a query?

Specialist teams in Student Services have a range of turnaround times. If a query goes to our helpdesk team in the Library or the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, staff monitor the inbox from 9-5 Monday to Friday and aim to send a response the same day.
