Key Dates

This page contains key events/dates for upcoming graduation ceremonies.

The summer graduation ceremonies will take place in the week commencing Monday 14 July 2025. All students who are eligible to attend will be contacted via their student email address as well as the personal email that we hold on file. Occasionally, emails to personal addresses can end up in junk/spam so please ensure all mailboxes are checked. There will be an announcement in the Student Global when invitations are distributed. If you believe you are eligible but have not received an email, please contact ceremonies@cumbria.ac.uk as soon as possible.

For those graduating in winter 2025, the ceremonies will take place in the week commencing Monday 24 November.

July 2025 Ceremonies

The summer graduation ceremonies will take place in the week beginning 14th July 2025.

Research Degree Ceremonies

For PhD and MPhil students only.

Research students on the University of Cumbria research degrees attend graduation ceremonies at Carlisle Cathedral in either July or November. Further information can be obtained from the Graduate School Team: graduateschool@cumbria.ac.uk or please email ceremonies@cumbria.ac.uk.

Research students on the Lancaster University pathway (registered before April 2019) attend graduation ceremonies at Lancaster University in December. Further information can be obtained from Sonia Mason in the Graduate School: graduateschool@cumbria.ac.uk.
