Key Dates

This page contains key events/dates for upcoming graduation ceremonies.

The summer graduation ceremonies will take place in the week commencing Monday 13 July 2026.

All students who are eligible to attend will be contacted via their student email address as well as the personal email that we hold on file in Early March. Occasionally, emails to personal addresses can end up in junk/spam so please ensure all mailboxes are checked. There will be an announcement in the Student Global when invitations are distributed. If you believe you are eligible but have not received an email in March, please contact ceremonies@cumbria.ac.uk as soon as possible.

  • July 2026 Ceremonies

    The summer graduation ceremonies will take place in the week beginning 13th July 2026.

  • Timetable - July 2026

    The timetable for the upcoming July 2026 graduation ceremonies will be published below on Friday 17th April.

  • Research Degree Ceremonies

    For PhD and MPhil students only.

    Research students on the University of Cumbria research degrees attend graduation ceremonies at Carlisle Cathedral in either July or November. Further information can be obtained from the Ceremonies Team: ceremonies@cumbria.ac.uk.

    Research students on the Lancaster University pathway (registered before April 2019) attend graduation ceremonies at Lancaster University. The Ceremonies Team at Lancaster University will invite you to the next ceremony following your award.
