Placement resources
Welcome to the Occupational Therapy placement page. The information here relates specifically to the practice placement element of both the BSc (Hons) and MSc Occupational Therapy programmes.
Within both these programmes students must complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of assessed practice placement. Both the BSc (Hons) and MSc programmes contain 5 practice placements which vary in length from a 1 week observation placement to 8 week (BSc) and 10 week (MSc) placements. Students are assessed whilst on practice placement by an Occupational Therapist who acts are their “Educator” (practice placement educator).
The information contained within this site provides important and essential information for both students and educators in relation to the practice placement element of the programme. Students should also access and use the resources found in the specific Practice Placement module sites on Blackboard.
