University Services and Facilities over Christmas

Whilst the core University services will be not be available during the University’s period of closure, the Student Enquiry Point is available to signpost you to useful resources. If you still need help and submit a query, you will receive a response after the university reopens on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.

University online systems such as Blackboard, email, OneDrive, Student Hub, Staff Hub, Ask a Librarian, OneSearch and the University website will be available through the holiday season.

Please be aware that if you try to contact any of the core University services via email or telephone, you will not receive a response until the university reopens on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. These include student and support services such as:

Uoc Active/Sports Facilities - The sports Facilities in Ambleside and Carlisle will close at 4pm on the 23rd December and re-open at 8am on the 2nd January. Lancaster will be open 23rd December (8am-4pm) and 24th December (9am-1pm). Our Partner facilities will be open during our festive closure. Catering

As campuses get quieter either side of the Christmas period and face to face teaching is limited on campus, our catering outlets have altered their opening times accordingly:

Brampton Rd	The Works	Closed Monday 16th December to Monday 6 January On Friday 13^th December, we will be operating Starbucks only.
Fusehill St	The Cube	Closed from Thursday 19th December to Monday 6 January From Monday 16^th – Thursday 19^th December, we will be operating Starbucks and our baguette bar only (open 8:30-15:00)
Lancaster	The View	Closed Friday 13 December to Monday 6 January
	Cafe Martineau	Closed Monday 23 December to Thursday 2 January From 16^th December, opening hours will be 08:30 – 15:00.
London	The Conservatory	Closed Friday 13 December to Monday 6 January

Vending machines remain available in all building that provide swipe access over the Christmas break. See Libraries over Christmas for more information.
