Join us in the Chapel for a traditional Cumbrian Tea and enjoy a warm, friendly welcome as you settle into university life.

Come along and sample a delicious variety of home-baked traditional farmhouse cakes, accompanied by a cup of tea and plenty of opportunities to relax and chat. This informal gathering is a wonderful way to take a break from your Welcome Week activities, meet new people and experience a little taste of local Cumbrian hospitality.

You’ll also have the chance to meet people from the local community, hear about their experiences and make connections beyond the university. Whether you’re new to Cumbria, have lived here for a while or simply enjoy good cake and friendly conversation, everyone is welcome.
