University Services and Facilities over Christmas
Whilst the core University services will be not be available during the University’s period of closure, the Student Enquiry Point is available to signpost you to useful resources. If you still need help and submit a query, you will receive a response after the university reopens on Monday 5th January 2026.
University online systems such as Blackboard, email, OneDrive, Student Hub, Staff Hub, Ask a Librarian, OneSearch and the University website will be available through the holiday season.
Study spaces are available at Ambleside, Carlisle and Lancaster throughout this period.
Opening Times of UoC Active Sports Facilities
Monday 22nd December: Normal opening hours.
Tuesday 23rd December: Sports facilities close at 4:00pm.
Wednesday 24th December - Friday 2nd January: Sports facilities closed.
Saturday 3rd January: Normal opening times resume.
