  • University Mental Health Day

    University Mental Health Day is Thursday 12th March 2026 and aims to get the nation talking about student wellbeing and working together to make mental health a university-wide priority. No matter who you are, you can take part.

    The theme for 2026 is human connection.

     

    Lancaster - The Library  11-1.30pm- Come and say hi to staff, other students and to Bumble the dog

     

    Ambleside - The Barn 11-1.30pm – Connection cafe 

     

    Fusehill St - The LG & Courtyard  11.30-1- Fireside Chat and S'mores 

     

    Brampton Rd - Reception 11.30-1 – Hygge for connection event 

     

    London - Reception 11.30-1- Ball Game

     

    Barrow - Cafe  9-10am- Community Breakfast

  • Understanding and Managing Grief support group - Carlisle

    Are you struggling with the loss of a loved one and feel that you would benefit from some support? Our 4 week bereavement support group begins in February where we aim to provide you with the space to understand the impacts of loss and find ways to live alongside it. Kate (a Mental Health Case Worker on the Student Wellbeing Team) and Caroline (our University Chaplain) are looking forward to welcoming you to this space at The Chapel, Fusehill Street Campus, Carlisle.

     

    As space is limited and in order to provide you with the best possible support, we ask that attendees ensure that they are able to commit to all 4 sessions, which are provided below:

  • Green Minds - Lancaster Campus

    Why not join our Green Minds Garden Group and help shape and care for some of Lancaster Campus' green spaces. Students and staff are welcome to drop in, get hands-on, and be part of creating a greener campus community. No gardening experience needed - just bring yourself!
