Ask a Librarian Chat Service

Students and staff have access to real-time personalised Ask a Librarian chat service 24/7. To use the service you just need to complete the fields and click/press on the 'Start your Chat session' bar.

You chat with University Library staff Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00 UK time (except bank holidays). Outside these times a librarian, most probably in the USA, will respond. If you are studying from outside the UK, please use an online Time Converter to check the time in the UK. 

This means that you will be able to get professional help with using library services, finding information, enquiries about referencing and searching information resources even when the library is closed.

The out of hours librarians have access to our library catalogue and the online databases we subscribe to so they can help you with searching for particular articles or information.
