Peer Mentors

At the University of Cumbria, we have one combined mentoring scheme to help you get the most out of your time with us.

Peer Mentoring @ Cumbria encompasses academic focused group mentoring sessions with peers from your own course along with one-to-one life, health and academic mentoring with a student from the year above; who will be your professional friend whilst at the University of Cumbria.

The Careers and Employability Service are here throughout your course, and beyond, to support you with your career planning.

Need to speak to an adviser? We’re based in the Libraries at all our campuses where you’ll also find our Careers resources sections. We offer support online, by email, by phone and in person.

Our Career Ahead award helps students stand out from the crowd and become more employable: CV help, mock interviews, skills gaps, extra-curricular activities, on-going careers support.
