Career Ahead Student

Student Mentors

At the University of Cumbria, we have two mentoring schemes to help you get the most out of your time with us.

PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) encompasses academic focused group mentoring sessions with peers from your own course.

Cumbria Mentor Scheme (CMS) provides one-to-one mentoring with a student from the year above; they will be your professional friend whilst at the University of Cumbria.

Careers & Employability

The Careers and Employability Service are here throughout your course, and beyond, to support you with your career planning.

Need to speak to an adviser? We’re based in the Libraries at all our campuses where you’ll also find our Careers resources sections. We offer support online, by email, by phone and in person.

Our Career Ahead award helps students stand out from the crowd and become more employable: CV help, mock interviews, skills gaps, extra-curricular activities, on-going careers support.
