Social work
The placement learning element of your programme is vital for preparing you for becoming a Social Worker. You will spend a total of 170 days (70 days in second year and 100 days in third year for BA or 70 days in first year and 100 days in the final year for MA) which could be in a Local Authority or a Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) setting. The placement is a requirement of social work education and is an opportunity for you to put the academic learning that you receive on the course into practice.
