Registration 2015

  What is registration?

Registration is the process through which you are formally confirmed as a student at the University. All students are required to complete online pre-registration.

You will be expected to complete an online pre-registration form and for most students, attend a registration session on campus. If you fall into one of the categories below you must complete both these processes:

  • All full-time students
  • Part-time students who are in receipt of funding from an external body, such as the Student Loans Company (SLC)
  • International students on UK Home Office Tier 4 visas.

We will let you know about online registration and registration sessions by email. This will happen three weeks before the start of your course.

Online pre-registration

We will contact you by email with a link to the registration form.  All students are required to pre-register.

Hints and tips for online registration

  • You do not need to complete this task in one go: the system will remember at which stage you left the process and the next time you log back in you will be taken to the next step.
  • The form will ask you to submit your term time address which you may not know at this stage. Don’t worry, you can let us know this later.
  • Remember to complete all of the mandatory fields.
  • Online registration includes a photo upload option which will enable us to create your Cumbria Card in advance. Read our quick guide for uploading photos.
  • If you have any outstanding admissions requirements, you will receive an email informing you of what you need to supply to the university before you can be fully registered.
  • Please complete the online pre-registration process as soon as possible after receiving the email from us.
  • If for some reason you can't complete the online pre-registration, you can still complete it on the registration day, but you are likely to have a longer wait.
